Default Tire clearance question?

Just got my new fender mounted and for whatever reason it ends up being maybe an average of an 1/8th inch too close to the front tire perMetzelers tire recommendations. What is your opinion... something too worry about or not? On a test ride I got the bike up to speedand then some, and the tire did not rub the underside of the fender at all. We removed the fender and could see where the little rubber ***** (new tire fingers - whatever they are called) had hit the underside of the fender lightly but the tire did not touch what-so-ever. I had the bike upto 80 - 82(which isfaster than I ever ride - max for me is 70 - 75), with no rubbing. Would you leave it alone or not? I have between 5/16ths - 7/16ths depending on what part of the fender tip to tire you measure, but those are the minimum clearances. Metzeler recommends 1/2" or in 16ths...it would be 8/16ths.

Thanks

i usually leave around a minimum of a 3/8th clearance when using metzelers. their tires dont grow as much as avons so you can run then a little tighter than avons.

if you think about it metz have to quote a clearnce that is good for the tyres maximum rated speed and then a margine on top to allow for production tolerance in the tyres. I assume your using H rated tyres which are good for 130MPH Font go for a lower rated tyre just cus you dont do those pseeds tho as the bike still kicks out the torque and weight that a lower rated tyre wont be able to handle.
