Default #@$^#&-ing Fork Caps!

An CANNOT get the darn fork dust caps off to change out my sliders. I have tried everything. It's as if they're a welded part of the slider. I can't believe I'm going to pay the stealer to do this simple job because of these caps.

Any suggestions?

A socket, a breaker bar, a big long pipe for leverage.

If you're talking about the nut that holds the fork in the triple tree? If so, socket, breaker bar.
If you're talking about the flat sided nut holding the spring in, lock the the nut in a vise, cover top of fork tube with rag (up high where "if" you ding it it won't show), and use a pipe wrench on the tube.
