Installing Swingarm Pivot Bearings

Installing Swingarm Pivot Bearings
First post so I hope I ask the question correctly......
Trying to install the swingarm bearings into my new swingarm. I tried several creative methods that included several washer, a few large sockets and a bolt. But as you can imagine the bearing would not start straight. I asked a local shop to try and they applied heat to the swingarm and the bearing dropped right in, but when they went to cool it the plastic insert inside the bearing ran out? This is what they told me. I have since order 2 new bearings @ $50 a piece.
I have heard about heating things up in the oven but this sounds iffy at best.
Any recomendations besides letting the Harley Service center do it for $150? I have looked at a few tools but they are pricey for a 1 time deal (2 times actually).
Thanks in advance

RE: Installing Swingarm Pivot Bearings
Put the bearings in the freezer for 20 mins or so put a light coat of grease in the swingarm hole and hit w/ the closest size socket to the outer bearing. Also if the swing arm is powder coated make sure there is no buildup in the hole. If there is roll up some 80 grit and start scuffin'
