Lowering Kit Pros and Cons

Lowering Kit Pros and Cons
I have a 2003 Ultra and had the lower front fork springs and the low profile rear shocks installed when new. Now the shocks are shot. I still have the original shocks in NEW condition and wondered about using a lowering it with the original shocks instead of buying another set of low profile shocks. Anyone have any comments or opinions on this.

only real pro is looks cool.As for cons few possible handling could suffer depending on how well kits matched to bike.As for front end get heavy springs.I lower the fron t of roadking custom and first thing hit bad bump and the fender salmmed into bottom fot tripple trees.nice dent intop of two day old paint job.Ok guess if you short then touching ground might be a pro.

I just installed the LA Choppers 1" lowering kit from J & P on my Road King this weekend. I road about 150 miles on it and I can tell you that the ride and handling are the same as stock and no bottoming out riding 2-up. Ichose this kit since it does not change the stock angle of the shock.
