I am getting ready to install the rear chrome sprocket cover on my 05 Deluxe. I need the steps to do this and torque specs if available

You will need an impact wrench or some big a$$ arms to get the spocket bolts off, they used red loctite on mine. I don't know the torque specs, but someone will tell you. Get a shop manual. Be sure to use loctite when reinstalling.

Your best bet would be to get the shop manual,It's outlined in there pretty well, best $50 you'll ever spend on the bike. Use heat to soften the locktite on the bolts otherwise you'll strip them trying to remove them.

Like TCSTD said - you need to get the manual. I just put a chrome sprocket on and it came with instruction sheet that gave all the torque specs. If you need it let me know and I can scan and email it to you. Also, be sure to use new sprocket bolts. They should come with the locktite on them. DEFINATELY USE HEAT TO REMOVE OLD HARDWARE OR YOU MIGHT DESTROY THE WHEEL.

If you don't heat it first you could strip the threads in the wheel. Personally, I'd try a wrench before resorting to the impact wrence. Use it as last resort.

Concentrate right on the head of the bolt with a small flame.

Got it done. It took a couple of hours not to bad. The bolts were very tight. Thanks for the help
