Default rotor mounting question

I'm replacing the stock rotors with floaters. I've got the shop manual and it does not seem to say so I thought I'd ask here to be sure. Are you supposed to use any locktite on the screws? My fear is that the threadlocker would make the screws over tight and I'd break one off in the wheel when torquing them down.

Default RE: caliper mounting question

I usually put a dot of 'blue' loctite on the rotor bolts.

You typically don't have to worry about strippin gthem on install...it's removal that you need to watch.

If you are removing a bolt with loctite - a good idea is to tap it lightly with a hammer before trying to break it free. On the rotor bolts, when I remove them, I take the torx socket with a short extention on it, and give it a quick tap with a hammer to 'break' the loctite bond.

I use the Blue loc-tite also. loosing rotor bolts wouldn't be very good!

I had one two days ago that would not come outsimply. It was a button head bolt with aallen head center. I rounded the allen head portion and screwed myself. I ended up taking my air grinder and notching the bolt, form there I used a medium sized metal chisel and with a few taps it loosened right up. What a PITA.
