Default Tire Options for 17x5.5 Deuce wheel

Hey gang,
Can anyone offer up some tire options (or a site where I can look them up) for a 17x5,5 Deuce wheel? I'm not hung up on brand names. I want 180 to 200mm. The HD/Dunlop SE 180 is a nice tire, but VERY soft and has a short road life.

Any insight appreciated!

Scott, I could be wrong but I thought that all Deuce wheels were 17 x 4.5.

I have an Avon Storm 160 70 x 17 on mine although the 170 60 x 17 also fits. the load carrying capacity is a bit lower though.

The seller (an HD dealer) replied 5.5" when I aksed. This particular one i's a dealer take-off with a new Dunlop 160 mounted. I'm asking again as http://hdwheels.com/Product.htm says 4.5 also.

Stock Duece wheels are all 4.5", even the SE ones from my understanding. I have a GT502 SE Duece tire on my bike but with a 5.5" laced hoop and it actually measures 187mm wide.

Slick, Baron...
You're right. The seller confirmed 4.5 and changed the info on his ebay listing. Thanks for the heads up, guys!

Glad to help. The 180/60-17 will work on the 4.5" wheel if you still plan to get it. It just won't measure as wide, more like 170mm or so.

Ultimately, I plan to go with a 200 so a 5.5 is as narrow as I want to go to maintain proper tire dimensions.
