it's good to see this write up still floating around. I used it a couple years back doing my first swap. great care and detail for the newby.

I just did this DIY. Great write-up. However, the write-up says to use a 2" PVC pipe. The OUTER diameter needs to be 2". Don't do what I did and buy 2" PVC pipe - which is actually about 2 1/2" in diameter. It won't work! Everything else is fantastic! Easy job. 3 +/- hours including beer breaks and a trip to the hardware store to get the right stuff to seat the seals. Oh, and spend the $50 for the service manual for your bike. If for nothing else, it will give you all the torque values.

On this subject, the service manual is overrated, except for torque values.
