Weird Front Break Sound on 2004 FB
I am not sure I can explain this well.
When I am coming up to a stop sign, slowing down, I can hear the front break pads rubbing un evenly on the front disk.
I apply slight pressure to the front break and the rubbing disappears, which is normal, however when I continue to apply pressure to the front break I start to hear a sound similar to the sound of electrical arcing, a fast rapid ticking coming from the front area of the bike. The sound disappears immediately when I release the break. When I re-apply the break it resummes after moderate pressure to the break.
I have no electrical problem that I know of. All the lights work well includingrear break light . No noise when I apply the rear break.
I am not sure how to diagnose this? The bike breaks and rides well.
I only hear this noise when the engine is not reving coming to a stop by using the front break.
Any thoughts?

RE: Weird Front Break Sound on 2004 FB
I have a very similar situation with my '05 FB. Whenever I pull on the front brake, there is a fast ticking noise that seems to be coming from my brake caliper.
It has always done it (since I got the bike last January), so I haven't thought much about it.
I'm anxious to see what others have to say, and if this is a problem that needs correcting.
