Default Brembo Brake Pads & Calipers

Can someone tell me if the new 2008 models with Brembo pads have different calipers compared to the 07 models? I guess what I want to know is, if Ireplace the pads on my 07 streetglide with Brembo pads will it stop as well as the 08 models? If an upgrade is made replacing the 07 calipers what would be the best caliper to upgrade to?

first of all the calipers are different. second of al, you can not buy pads for the brembos from Harley yet. The only company making them that I am aware of is Lyndall Racing Brake.

You may start reading here if you like as far as replacement calpers goes. If any other questions or help I can give you either call or PM me. Link: https://www.hdforums.com/m_2365001/m...tm.htm#2375061

Hitman, you would have to change your calipers. Brembo calipers to fit the pads.
Working on motorcycle brakes for some time. What you could do to make brakes work better/stop.
1. mastercylinder size of piston. = pressure applied.
2. On Harleys to much rubber brake hose to expanded absorb applied pressure. Could just change to after market quality brake hoses. Major inprovement.
3. Change those calipers. more pistons. more brake area.
4. rear brake tooooo small size rotor brake area. Again look at after market.
Better yet vacuum assist link brakes.
Even better vacuum assist link ABS brakes
