Default progressive front springs?

alright, i'm about to put my front shocks completely together after having just mocked a few things up....

'07 wide glide, by the way...

here's the thing: the progressive springs i bought (11-1525) come with pvc spacers (about 3 inches long) ....and the springs themselves are about 3 inches longer than stock (this is understandable considering they are progressive shocks and are probably designed to compress in the tube for a better ride)

...so what the hell do i need the spacers for?...original springs that came out of the tubes didn't have any spacers in there.... do i need them?

I see that you have been doing this for a while. You might want to see if the PVC is droop limiters to lower your bike. Since the company I work with owns Race Tech, I have no knowledge of this, your product. Give them a call & do not guess. Good luck!!

well, upon doing this job and realizing that in the stock forks the "tube collar" is actually the spacer ....something i stupidly overlooked

...and indeed, i called progressive and the spring is LONGER than stock, but the spacer is shorter than the stock spacer.... so combined length of the progressive shock and spacer is equivalent to the stock shock and spacer..... so, more spring less spacer with progressives as opposed to less spring more spacer with stock
