Arrow Removing stock rubber grips without cutting them

I just replaced the stock grips on my 2008 Road Glide. To remove the old ones I wrapped a piece of sandpaper around the grip, then used a pipe wrench to twist the grip left and right ,till the glue broke lose. The grip came off without destroying it. The right side was a piece of cake [Fly By Wire] Hope this helps you guys.

or if you can get a pick, or small screw driver wedged in, then spray some wd-40 or something in there, and work the "tool around and deeper spraying when needed.
