Anyone have noise issues from the 200 mm tire of the 07 Fatboy. I have a roaring noise from the rear and the dealer said it was normal. The noise gets louder with a passenger or if I hit a low spot in the road.

Tire pressure?

 

I've heard the same sound on occaision. Could be tread howl on certain road surfaces , belt to sprocket sound as in too tight , or in the worst case a bad wheel bearing growl. In my case I determined it to be tread to road noise after checking the other possibilities. One other thing could be the rear caliper not releasing enough and the pads making noise going over the disc holes.

I changed the pressure up and down with no change. The dealer check the wheel bearing. All looked good. My loud pipes drown out the noise now but I can still hear it.
