Progressive shocks like rigid frame?
I've never had one cranked all the way up, but do these things become rock-solid on the highest setting?
My g/f just got an 04 wide glide, and the back end is HARD. I'm 170, and she's a little over 100, and with both of us on the bike, I don't think it flexed the rear shocks at all. I don't have a spanner yet, but wanted to inquire about this before I went trying to adjust something that's possibly messed up. I looked up in the shocks and confirmed that they are currently on the highest setting.

RE: Progressive shocks like rigid frame?
I don't know anything about those shocks, but I'd be willing to bet that the hardest setting was probably designed for two up riding with people heavier than the two of you are. Most couples riding Harleys probably have a combined weight at least 50 lbs heavier than you. Those shocks are probably designed to handle a 400+ lb couple and their luggage on the heaviest setting. You're only tipping 270-280.
