Default 07 RK rear wheel removal

9700 miles and time for a new rear skin. I'll remove the rear wheel myself and have the shop put on the tire. Got a dumb question. Once I get it up on the center lift, remove lower shock bolts and get the axle outwill the wheelslip out between the fender and muffler? Yeah, I got a shop manual, just looking for a way around removing the slip-on. Thanks.

If you can get the axle out without removing the slipon, the tire will drop straight down and go under the fender. I don't have an 07, but I don't think you can get the axle out without removing the slipon.

Thanks. Yeah, I looked at it this morning, looks like the bike has to be high enough so it will go out under the fender. Some other bikes I had it would slip out between the swing arm and fender with it on the center stand.. What do guys do who have to pull the rear wheel off on the road to patch a tube, lay the bike over on the crash bars? Think I'll put the new cush drive system on it while I've got it out. I don't have a major problem with drive noise but it's got to help.

I don't see how to get the axle out without taking your muffler off-Don't short cut the allmighty manual-it's written to help us out
