I had posted a while back about problems with the rear brake on my SG. I noticed that when I would ride the bike at first I had little or no rear breaking power. Once I rode it awhile the brake came back.
Tried bleding the line twice, had the dealership checkfor brake line issues..always fine by then but the next day, same darn problem.. So I had been scratching my head about this the past 6 weeks.
Finally took it back up to the dealership today and asked them to check it again. It had sat there a while before the tech test rode it - and he could also tell the rear brake was weak.
They finally figured out the problem and replaced one of my air shocks. Brakes are great now - problem solved!
Anyone wanna take a stab at what it was?

Ok, someone pegged it over in touring...
What was happening is there was a very tiny fluid leak in the air shock closest to the rear brake rotor. If the bike was upright and being ridden it didn't hit the rotor so brakes were fine all day on long trips...but if the bike was left overnight on the sidestand at an angle, a small amount of the fluid would run onto the rotor...and of course that rotor was covered by the saddlebad and not enough to leave a puddle.
Now whoda thunk?![Big Grin](https://www.hdforums.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Kudos to Greensboro Harley Davidson for solving this mystery. The shock was replaced under warranty and the brakes are like new now.
