This is a common pesky problem.First thing is to bevel leading edge of pads very slightly. This works about 50-60% of the time.If not,pad replacement is often recommended regardless of pad thickness. What happens is brake dust builds up to cause the squeak, the beveling allows it to fly off.Brake cleaning pads works for about 25 miles.Be careful what gets on your pads, they need to be dry to be working properly. This used to be a bigger problem in the 70-80's as Harley was going thru pad/rotor interface changes.Good luck,Bob

Get floating rotors...this has solved the problem in every instance that I have read about...or live with it. I've decided to live with it until I need new pads, then I will upgrade the rotor and pads.

If you decide to go with floating rotors you can get Chrome Floating Brake Rotors for the front (Harley Part # 44360-00 with an MSRP of $129.95) from Zanotti Harley for $95.41 each.
Their web site is: www.zanottimotor.com/shopping/partLookUp.html
I thought that was a pretty good price.
