Default Progressive 412s for an XL1200C

I want to upgrade the stock rear shocks on my XL1200C for the obvious reasons. I measured the eyelet to eyelet length as about 11.75". I was told the stock length was 11.5" on the Customby a local stealer (that is also a Progressive dealer). I'd like to keep the seat height about the same so I'm assuming that I should be shopping for either 11.5" or 12" shocks. It seems as though there are a LOT of 11" lowering Progressives for the sporty out there, but I haven't seen a lot of 11.5" or 12" out there. I'm looking for any advice on what length shock I should be looking for. Thanks in advance.

I believe 11.5" is correct and that is what I measured on my wife's 1200. We wanted to lower it but Progressive only had 11" as the next step down. Just didn't feel like it was worth thecost (we were looking at 440s) for a half inch.

If you just want a better ride vs lowering I think 11.5" is what you want but I would verify that with HD and Progressive for your year. Standard disclaimer - I ain't no expert but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night.
