Default front fork rebuild or upgrade 14 limited

hi all. i have a 2014 ultra limited that is pretty harsh on bumps. i ride this bike back and forth to work mostly but plan on riding a little more when i take it camping with us. my question is should i just rebuild the front forks back with factory parts and what parts should i need to order of should i upgrade? i know the upgrade is a better ride but honestly i've never had an issue with any of my other stock suspension bikes with the way they ride.

How many miles? I rebuilt the forks on the RGL at 45k miles, that oil looked like 10 year old coffee. Did a rebuild, ( parts about 80 bucks and new oil, I used Amsoil suspension fluid ) and the OEM forks actually are pretty good, granted not like a good set of cartridges but a big improvement with just changing that expired fluid.

my bike has 63k miles on it. it feels like there isn't any fluid in it but there's no signs of a fluid like since i've owned it. i just bought it in march.did you buy a rebuild kit and that's it? no new springs or tubes?

This has all the parts to rebuild your forks, less the oil.

Fresh rebuild will feel way better. Technically the fluids should be changed at 25000 miles intervals.

I just installed Ricor Intiminators in my 21 trike and I like the way the front end reacts now. It just responds differently to bumps, it’s hard to explain. Compared to Progressive cartridges in my 07 Electra Glide, which I rode a lot more aggressively in the mountains and in general.

Fork Kits | Pro-Action Street

Then grab the rebuild kits from HD, two bottles of Bel-Ray 20W fork oil (https://amzn.to/4cj51N8 #ad), and be done.

I'll never put a different kit in the forks. It cruises better than a new bike soaking up all the bumps, and greatly reduces brake dive and improves cornering.

For approx the same $ as DK, you can usually get the OEM kits. If your dealer will get the separate parts for you (they tend to push the kits), you can get the parts you really need for even less (Bushings, Seals, Sealing washer for damper screw)

I recently went to Progressive Fork Monotube cartridges on my 98 fatboy (yes not the same bike) and the handling and feel improved so much I couldn't believe.. Yes they are a little pricey but well worth it.. I'll never have to do any maintenance on the front end again.. And think what it would be like to service the front end with a full fairing.
Here's the model I used, the monotube cartridge,

Yours would be the FST, Not sure exactly which one and a bit pricey but call Progressive.. you won't be disappointed..
