8321 miles and slick!!!!!!! UPDATE
The Deuce rear tire is bout gone. Im not the best at checking air pressure. Is this mileage(8321) in the ball park for a new rear tread? No burnouts or hard stops. I try to ride like I got common sense cause these tires cost enough far as Im concerned. Thanks, Tommy.
Got into the shop this morning(Sandhills Cycle HD Pinehurst NC) at 9AM and was out the door by 1045AM. A new K591 160/70B17 for $133.56, labor $45.00 and tax for a grand total of $189.91 after a discount of $33.39. Not to bad I think. The guys said this was about average mileage for this tire/bike combo so I dont feel so bad now. Ready to ride again!!!!!!!!

RE: 8245 miles and slick!!!!!!!
That is excessive wear (in my opinion). I ride a '04 Softail and get 14,000 miles from a set of tires with the tire pressures set to owner's manual values and checked before each ride. Tires get replaced when the tread depth is 1/16". Which brand of tire is it?
I've heard from our riding group members that some of them only get about 10,000 miles on tires.
