Default Trying Bridgestones

After two months without luck trying to locate a Dunlop D401 100/90 19 front tire on the internet, I finally had to do somethingso Iordered to a setof Bridgestone S11s from American Motorcycle Tire. Got the front tire on my Superglide today and took it for a test ride. I wasn't pushing it, butthe Bridgestonefeels noticeably quicker in the turns than the Dunlop. However, that may be just because it's new and the contact patch hasn't flattened any. Other than having trouble getting the tire to catch air and seat the bead, so far so good. I'll get the rear tire on soon.

It will be interesting to see how the Bridgestones wear. They have the same speed and load ratings as the D401s and are significantly cheaper, but it remains to be seen whether they will turn out to be a better value. Now I've got to go sweep up the rice off the garage floor.
