Default Rear brake pedal sticking.

I have a 2003 wide glide and the rear brake pedal keeps sticking, i have to put my foot under it and pull it all the way back up. this was happen during a ride a couple weeks ago, stopped in at a dealer they took the arm off and honed it out put some anti-size on the shaft and reassembled work great for a couple off weeks and know it's back . is there a spring in the master cylinder that could be broke or week and not pushing the peddle back up. Not sure what to do already gave the dealer $45 to fix and steal have the problem not about to give them some more fr another 2 week fix. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.[sm=helpout.gif]

Default RE: Rear brake pedal sticking.

Hi , I too have a wideglide and had similar problems with the gearstick side where the gearstick was not returning and had to be moved manually with your foot . I too went to the dealership and had it fixed under warrantee as bike under 1 year old . I was told that sticky foreward controls are commonplace due to thier position and just needed regular cleaning and lubrication (obviously harley cant be assed to develop them to the point where they actually workproperly without constant attention and should take a leaf from the japs book) Dont get me wrong I love harleys but sometimes !!!!!!!!!!!!!

take it apart again and clean all the anti-seize out, lube with a dry lube like dri-slide or graphite.
