Progressive 944 Shock (Heavy Duty) springs
I recently purchased a 2014 Ultra Classic and.the previous owner was nice enough to have installed the Progressive 944 shocks. After riding this bike and not finding the suspension as good as others have said I decided to look at spring preload settings. I'm 260lbs so not a little guy but springs are really stiff. Did a little looking into spring part numbers and it turns out they are the 115/155 spring rate. My question is even on setting 1 they are just now starting to not bounce me off the bike. Where are you guys running these with your single rider? Any help would be appreciated..

The standard normal spring 90/130 so you have the stiffer springs. I've run the 90/130s on a Progressive 440 shock and it was little stiff for me and I weigh 190. I don't know if they change the damping inside the shock also when going heavier spring.. Give them a call.

What I did today was attempt to get the 1"of sag that they recommend. Like I said I'm 260lb presently and I could only get 5/8" of an inch with shocks backed all the way out. I did send them an email asking for their opinion or options. Can't imagine how much weight it would take to run these on setting 4.. Lol
