Default Front fork seal leak

i arrived at work yesterday and noticed fluid coming from my right front fork. it looked like i blew a seal, with fluid leaking down the fork. i have 15000 miles on a 2005 1200c, riding a mix of around town and long distance. no really hard riding to cause the seal to blow out prematurely. i was wondering if y'all think this is low miles for the seal to go, or would this be expected? i have a friend who has over 100k miles on a 1980 shovelhead and has never replaced his!!! of course as luck would have it, my warranty was up last month!
thanks in advance for the replies...
