Default Master cylinder rebuild kit

I have just bought a kit for a 58-79 locheed wagner master cylinder, & can't work out where the rubber coated washer with small hole in the middle goes. Part isn't shown in manual & wasn't in my master cylinder. Any help appreciated.

Not familiar with the washer you speak of , but is there a possibility it goes in front of the cup to expand it?

Thanks for the reply. I have been unable to find any more info, but are thinking the washer may be used as a seat for the valve in the base of the spring (valve used on drum brakes only) ie. washer(seat?), valve, spring, piston, retaining washer then clip. Any thoughts ?
