Default how many miles out of OEM tires?

I'm working on 13,000 miles on the stock Dunlops that came on my bike from the factory. Gonna replace them probably in spring but just wondering how many miles other folks are getting. My husband got 15,000 on his 03 Super Glide tires.

Usually around 10 K on rear tires is considered good, the fronts get a bit more. It depends on your riding style and inflation.

you can get increased life out of your rear tire by anticipating your stops earlier, pull the clutch in and coast down and rely more on your front brake. letting the engine brake when slowing wears the rear tire. i use my rear only for unanticipated quick stops and manuvering in parking lots when front braking can throw you off balanace. going from a MT90 to an MU85 gives you an extra 2/32 tread that lasts quite a bit longer than the MT90 and you have extra load capacity

Sounds about right. I'm getting 12-14,000 out of my rear tire and 25,000 out of my front. The dealer says average is 8-9,000 for rear tires. They are always amazed at my rear tire life, I ride the bike normal, don't do any burnouts...

I currently have 13,000 on original rear tire and will probably get one or two more out of it. I never run a tire down to the wear indicators on cars or bikes, not worth the risk.

I just had a 10K check up and was told the rear tire had another 3 to 4K miles left. I was really surprised.

How many miles on OEm tyres............................5600 and thats too many, these are some bad tyres. I could just about put up with them on warm surfaces, but now the wet cold weather is here, they got to go.

Going to Metzeler 880's on the advice of many old hands on this and other sites.
