lowering RK 1 Inch
I am going to lower my 2014 RK. I am wondering if anyone has used the drag specialties 12 standard duty shocks, if so is there a vast improvement over stock air ride shocks with lowering blocks? I am debating on either the drag specialties shocks, finding used hand adjustable shocks off a 14 or newer street glide or lowering blocks. is the juice worth the squeeze of replacing shocks vs just going with lowering blocks. I am wondering which front end lowering kit is the best. The burly is much cheaper than the progressive and I am wondering if there is a big difference between the two.

The subject of shocks is shockingly difficult! There are zillions of threads about them, all around HDF, probably more than even 'which oil?'. First question is: do you ride solo or 2-up - it matters. When we add our favourite passenger the stock suspension doesn't cope very well, nor do cheaper aftermarket shocks.
If you ride solo I recommend avoiding all the really tempting cheap shocks, as you are likely to find them little if any better. There are many members who have spent a lot of time and money chasing shock nirvana, before seeing the light and buying good quality ones and finding success, at last. That does cost more and once achieved is well worth the extra!
There are shorter shocks which will also give you great ride quality.
