had lyndall gold...awesome but short life, just put on hd floating rotors and z pads, maybe a little less bite but still great and hopefully will last longer...
I second the EBC Kevlar pads, available for $19 per set from www.tfogracing.com (Tfog Wheelsports). When I purchased my '96 RK in '97 I installed the front pads and EBC floating rotors that were on my old Dyna, at that time having 10k miles on them. I also bought some new EBC Kevlar pads and installed them on the rear using the stock rotor. The bike had 9k on it at that time, and at 106k when I sold the bike it still had the same pads on it, front and rear, and all still had plenty of surface remaining. The fronts had around 107k and the rear 97k, and the rotors showed no measurable wear.
In that nine-year period I rode that bike though all types of weather through 33 states and never had a squeal or tense moment. They performed perfectly and left very little dust on the wheel.
Guess what I just bought for my new SG? I have three sets waiting here and will eventually install them on that bike. One note is that these pads for the newer brake calipers have about half the thickness compared to the Evo pads. I suppose that means I'll only get 75k or so out of these. Bummer.
