Default PM wheels

Has anybody else had anproblems with their PM wheels having a gold tint to them. A friend of mine put some on his bike and they started to show this gold tint, so they sent them back to pm. Pm told him that it was a new chroming process that from now on all Pm wheels would have that tint. In the pictures they show no sign of a gold tint and everybody else that has the PM wheels don't have the tint. THanks for your help.

That's interesting, because the gold tint could be from the copper plate that's used in the process. Sounds as if the top coat of chromium wasn't applied thick enough to take the copper tint away, but the nickle over the copper should have done that unless they cut corners and didn't do the nickel plate, but I doubt that, because it would look really bad.. I guess after enough complaints , they'll go back to the old process.

This is what he was told this week. They found nothing wrong with the wheels and that they would not replace them. They won't give, him his money back but are willing to polish the wheels and not give him any money back. Personally after all this i would not purchase a PM product. He said the techs are rude telling him that they are the number 1 wheel manufacter and that theres nothing wrong with there product. Hope you guys have better luck.
