Axle seems like it won't come out!
I want to remove my rear wheel to install a custom rim... did the normal things, moved the pipe down and out of the way... removed the cotter pin and axle nut, but the axle doesn't act like it wants to drift out so the wheel can be removed from the swingarm.
I sprayed a bit of WD-40 on the wheel spacers, which now lets me spin the axle with a bit less effort... but it still refuses to drift out.
I placed a block of wood on the axle end and tapped it with a rubber mallet, but she's still a no go.
I'm thinking that the axle is seized to the wheel spacers... as they spin when I spin the axle. Any suggestions on how to free it up without risking damage to the bike?
I'm not one to force things and won't be quick to hit it harder. Thanks!

What you might try is to reinstall the axle nut , but unthread it about 2-3 threads showing between the base of the nut and the swing arm and give the bare nut a rap with a hammer. It may be enough to break things loose for you. Some times they just need to be coaxed.
