Extended Brake pedal
Extended Brake pedal In this case Kuryakyn part number 9672 meant for touring bikes with lowers. Installed one on my 2016 RGU. The reason I was uncomfortable with the sharp angle of the rear brake pedal. It made slow speed braking a bit harder than it need to be.
What the extended pedal does is flatten the angle out. Doing so make it easier to just cover the brake if you want and to apply light rear brake at slow speed. It also gives you more control over how much brake you apply. yes I could live with it stock , but this was a $90 change that is well worth it IMO. This pedal matched up with the adjustable levers makes a major change in how the bike preforms at low speeds giving me smoother control.
The install was not bad I was able to do it without removing lower engine guard. Longer needle nose allowed me to get the cyl pin out and back in. Less than an hour with coffee to do it.
If you do it don't panic if ABS flashes a bit more at first. Normal it must sense you were messing with master cly and just does a system check .
Some mods are neither good or bad, some end up in the bad idea box, this one is well worth it.
Same product marketed as Soft Brake or EZ brake at a much higher cost
