Default Should you use stock HD brake pads on polished rotors?

Does anyone have an opinion on continuing to use the stock HD brake pads when fitting after market polished SS brake rotors? I'm putting a set of Arlen Ness rotors on and note the installation instructions recommened a softer compound pad than the stock HD. I know it's not big dollars, but is there a need to change the stock pads out?

I wouldn't think so asI consider the OEM HD pad to be a soft compound pad to begin with. I run Lyndall pads and there is a noticeable difference in stopping distance. Check the Lyndall site for pad compounds as there may be a comparison chart there.

No, use a kevlar pad.
