Default Front Forks losing air

I recently finished a complete rebuild on a wrecked 2000 Road King. It needed a new front end, so I ordered complete fork assemblies made by V-Twin Manufacturing. These are the air suspension units that fit the bike. On the first test ride after the rebuild, the forks had lost their air and the front fender made hard contact with the frame (actually the crash bar attached to the top front of the frame below the neck). I couldn't find any place where the air was leaking, so I replaced the manifolds on top of the forks, and ran new lines. The bike will hold air while sitting, but quickly loses air while riding. Even sitting with full air pressure, the bike seems to sit lower than other Road Kings I've had. The only thing I can come up with is that the forks are faulty, and losing air inside the assembly. Anyone ever ran into something like this?
