94 FXDWG Installing new PM front caliper help
Hey my first thread, sorry if this is something discussed to death already but I'm in a hurry and need some no bs help.
Recently lost pressure in my front brakes. Took the caliper apart and found the pistons and pads were pretty well toasted. Couldn't get all the pistons out so opted to replace the whole caliper. Checked the type of fluid, DOT 5, and replaced caliper and hooked everything up.
I cannot for the life of me get any fluid to flow into the caliper. Doing the hold, crack, tighten, release, hose into a jar of new fluid. No pressure in the handle and no fluid leaving the master cylinder. I did notice a slight silvery "mist" in the fluid after i pumped the brake handle about 50 times. hope the pic shows it.
I have to be doing something wrong. I haven't messed with brakes much before but I'm a pretty decent guys with his hands.
I need some help to get back on the road before I lose my ****. Its the only therapy I got.
