Just had a thought, what if I pay for an upgrade of my membership. Will that help eliminate the pop ups?

Same on the android, I get the popup on the bottom of the screen but when I scroll the ad doesn't stay at the bottom, it scrolls up with the text then manages to float back to the bottom. I wish they could fix that. I don't care that they have an ad on the page, but make it well behaved for cryin out loud.

I just joined today and like others, I'm on my iPad and hate theses pop up ads too. If I try moving the threads up and an ad pops up, it freezes the screen and the "X" is too high and I have hit the back arrow to get out. Not life threatening but still a pain.

I don't understand how businesses can resort to having their products advertised as pop-up adds. Do they not know that pop-up adds are one of the most annoying things on the internet? I go out of my way to not buy something that was in a pop-up add. Sometimes I'll send them an email telling them how annoying there adds are and that I'll never buy their stuff now.

Gunny...it's one of the main reasons I rarely visit HDForum anymore. I've PM'd moderators...and it appears it's out of their hands.

I visit at least 50 websites on a very regular basis (and hundreds more on a less frequent basis) and the VW popup is easily the most disruptive and irritating popup I have ever encountered. Frankly, it has confirmed, for me, that considering the purchase of any VW vehicle is completely unwarranted...why patronize such a thoughtless and disreputable firm?

It's just plain 'bad business'. Some dipshit suit at an advertising firm sold HDForum's people on the 'benefits' of installing the worst popup add ever created....after all, it mainly only aggravates users of iPads (a really minor part of the internet user base anyway).

Use this, same as Tapatalk. It's what I use and totally ad free.
