So I am stuck with the slow *** IE - Google Chrome is busted and the fixit site doesn't work. I think I'll go for a ride now.
I just clicked it on Google Chrome and it came up instantly. I would
keep trying if I were you. Also try rebooting your pc, sometimes that
helps.

I don't know about you but I encounter many sites that are slow
and balky. Just today I tried to help the wife with the NY unemployment
website and it was a disaster. I have trouble with the Verizon site,
Allstate and a lot of others. Any site that has a large amount of
posters all at one time will be problematic. If you have any success
with the Microsoft fixit link, let us know.

Thanks. I tried the link. It probably helped my laptop but didn't change the speed of the forum. (posting from my iPad)

For me, this is the only site that is slow and stops. Every day without fail. All other sites just fly.

Yup, I have the latest Firefox with Trueblock and it's been a bit slow this week. Although right now seems ok.

Up until 2 weeks ago, this site has always been way slow for me, and it is frustrating as all get out.

BUT, now I own a Mac Air. And now everything is blazing fast. I've never used Mac before, and am impressed!

I am throwing out, (actually giving it away to a relative) a perfectly fine desktop and downsizing to a laptop. I'm sick of having a big computer desk sitting in my house.

So just another idea, get a Mac product if you are upgrading computers. They are awesome, the folks that have them all seem to love them.
