Smile Very Slow ###Issue solved 2011-10-08###

Any of you guys having long waits after you click on any thing in this forum? It starts slow just logging in. I don't know how to get to any one who monitors this forum. I like it but after awhile I get tired of waiting for some thing to open up.

Just wait, they'll give you the "you need to get off Internet Explorer" and go to Mozilla Firefox and add all of this.....yadi yadi yadi, etc. Yeah, it is stupid slow for me most of the time. I usually run multiple windows open...

I'm go to multiple forms sites, this one is way way way too slow. It is frustrating.

You won't hear if from me today. I've got Firefox and Adblock and the site has been pretty clunky today.

Default Slow site

It's very slow for me also.
This is one of my favorite sites but it takes a very long time for different sections to load.
Seems to be worse at night time.

It's very frustrating.

today I decided to see what IE8 settings were. Tools>internet options>Advanced I found 2 buttons for reset, so why not I pressed them. well it made things go alot faster, not just this site but other programs too. I noticed increased activity on the CPU as well. IE does have connections to windows explorer. I have no idea what was reset, but for now this site is working faster

added:
on the status bar bottom left the following stays visble for some time
"(4 items remaining) download picture http://servedby.advertising.com/burl...=0/bins=1/ctxt ...."
right clicking on the finished page items, then on properties does not reveal what these long loading items are. they may be pop ups which is prevented by the pop up blocker.

Just got on with my new Macbook Pro using Safari. Everything is extremely fast. May be time of day. Going to get back on PC with windows 7 and Firefox and see the difference if any.
