ok ya'll alot of new members now.. good to see... figured this would help some of ya'll. took me forever to figure out how to post pics in my posts... some of ya have asked so i took some time tonight and made a "how to" of how i do it... there are other ways... but this is what works for me...

HOW TO POST PICS IN POST

I use http://tinypic.com/
It is free to join and free to use... super easy to load photo's and vids

anyway... after you join here is what you do

1. Click on the browse button and find your picture on your computer (usually in your my documents or Pictures folders *i save ones i am uploading right to my desktop for easier location)

2. Use the drop down arrow in the box below to select size of the upload

3. Typical posts i have i use message board (this is done in this size)
after you have the size right just click UPLOAD


4. once you get to this screen click on the picture to get the full image


5. Right click on the picture to bring up the tool bar

6. Select the properties option


7. Highlight the URL (either double click on it or hold down the left mouse button and drag the curser across the URL)

8. Right click on the mouse once you have the curser over the highlighted URL and select copy


9. Go to your forum post and click on the picture icon above the message board. *this will bring up the window*

10. Paste the URL into the addr bar. (click on it and right click select paste or just hit Ctrl-V) Then hit OK



11. after OK has been clicked on your will see the URL in your post... wherever that URL is located is where your picture will show up... that is all there is too it!... at least the way i do it.

I just upload from my computer... now if you can tell me how to upload and have them not be a thumbnail...

 

Nice write up Joe. Wow, you go through a few more steps than is really needed though. But hey, as long as the end result is the same it's all good.

The most important thing is getting the IMG code tags.

[IMG]url to your picture here[/IMG]

Notice you have a beginning "[IMG]" and and ending "[/IMG]" tag.
If what's between them is a valid url to a picture, it will be displayed like Joe's pictures above.

 

Or you could just get a Photobucket account. Also free.

They're thumbnails because you upload them from your computer.



I recommend Photobucket also. Judging from his instructions above, Photobucket is much easier.

hey joe, i think your just trying to get your post count up to that 10,000 mark. LOL. i use photobucket also. real easy once you get used to it.
