Default I'm having big problems

I'm new to this forum and I think it is a fantastic forum!! However, the speed with which I go from one page to another, one section to another and just everywhere on this form is extremely slow. It's so slow that it's absolutely frustrating. I go to many forums and never have this problem on any of them or on any internet site. My computer is not but a few years old and I have good speed. Downloading any page with any amount of pics has never been a problem for me....except for this forum.

What on earth could be going on? I want to be on this forum but I can't even check it all out due to the slowness of it. It's maddening!

Anything I can do? Anyone else have this problem?

I have Norton Antivirus so I don't think I have a spyware problem. I also have high speed DSL. I have never had this problem on any other forum. It takes a good 15 to 30 seconds to go from one screen to another here...which seems like an enternity compared to the usual 1 to 5 seconds I get other places. HELP!

Just my personal opinion and I am sure others will dis-agree but...Norton SUCKS big time!!!...also,Spyware/Adware is NOT a virus and many arent detected/removed with AV progs...I use AVAST,Spybot and AdAware...all freeware and beats the hell outta Norton...:&gt

Rhonda - I agree with you in that this site is rather slow, although I am not experiencing anything near as slow as you unfortunately are. I Don'tknow if you have Time Warner's Roadrunner in your area, but if you doI would highly recommend it as it is much faster than DSL (also a bit more expensive.)

See my recent speed test results here:

Oh, and I have Norton A/V also and it has worked very well for me for the last decade or so.

I vote for AVAST. What ever you doDON"T try PC-cillin. The first time it kicked in it locked my computer up. Took about 8 hrs. on the phone to solve the problem.

Not slow for me except in the garage where the wireless has a hard time seeing the router.
I bet the problem is on your end.
