I've replied to a bunch of people about this and asked specificquestions... no one's replied, I've also turned some into the tech team directly and they replied to the questions... and again, no one replied to them.

Please don't ever think I ignore you, sometimes I'll turn things right over to the tech team to have them look into the issue. Derrick has given me some great info and I'm reporting his findings along with your complaints to the Tech Team right now.

I'm not trying to make a bad situation worse, just reporting my experience. No one has ever asked me for any feedback even though I raised the issue here and privately. There are other lesser issues with the forum that add to the frustration. I questioned some thingsin the email to Amanda. I won't repeat any of it here.

As I said before, I really don't try to use the forum anymore form work. It is just too painful.

 

And I appreciate you reporting your problems, but I'd also like to talk with you about fixing them. We had a ton of issues a short while ago and most people had the same issues, so it may be that your message or email got overlooked. This by no means excuses it....

I'll be more then happy to work with you on trying to address this issue.

Has anyone come up with any solutions on any tracerts. Starting to get real frustrated now.

 

Okay, here's what I've been able to turn up information wise thus far....

1.) This issue is primarily affecting Comcast users
2.) This issue seems to be affecting people who have routers/wireless hubs more then those who dont
3.) This issue seems to be directly related to DNS problems, which can cause all the problems you are having...

The most basic use of DNS is to translate hostnames to IP addresses. It is in very simple terms like a phone book. For example, if you want to know the internet address of en.wikipedia.org, the Domain Name System can be used to tell you it is 66.230.200.100. DNS also has other important uses.

What I'd suggest everyone who is having this issue do, is go to this website...

If you dont connect to a router/wireless hub, then you need to click on the correct version of Windows Operating System in the list. You will see a few rows of pictures of routers on the left, and the Windows options are in the middle. Click on the correct version and it will walk you thru the setup process.

They have some icons where you can choose your particular brand of router......but if you dont see yours listed, then click here:

Basically what we are trying to do is change the way your computer connects to the internet....and this may help. I strongly, strongly suggest that you only do this if you feel confident in your computer knowledge. I cannot guarantee that this will fix the problem, but I do believe that the issue is inherent with Comcast, as I can show you 1000's of complaints against that company on this issue....

We are getting the trace routes... I'm not replying to them as we are getting so many, I appreciate you all sending them in... They tech team is working on this and Derrick is, as always, a huge help and we are grateful for his and your time to get to the bottom of this issue.
