What are you trying to search for and what are you typing in?

Do this: Use google to restrict your search to only this domain. MUCH better than the forum search forum. just append "site:hdforums.com" to your search term.

Like this:

https://www.google.com/search?q=Rine...e:hdforums.com

I've tried to suggest to the admins that they make this type of guidance a sticky on every forum, but to no avail.

Should be sticky. Countless hours would have been saved.

It would be nice if we could get the moderators and programmers to do a search - they'd smarten up in a hurry!
This should be my greatest problem.

Typing in "lines on lifters"
Trying to find any info on the cause, and if I should be concerned

Just out of curiosity, I did a search and I found what I was looking for without any problems. I just looked at the blue bar on top that starts out with User CP and then I went to where it said search, I entered what I wanted to find and I found it. Not sure how others are doing it but that's the way that I've done it for many years and never had an issue, just saying and I'm not a moderator or a programmer.

I recently did a search on Brake pads. I could find all sorts of posts on "Brake", and many others on "Pads", but this site (and there are lots of others) will only search on one word, instead of a phrase.
Google has a different algorithm so you get a more complete type of search.
It may be the language the site is written in, as there are differences in the way programming languages handle searches.
In any case, that's been MY experience. I'm glad you have been more sucessful.
