Error messages on computer
Ok, I know this may be the wrong place for this, but this section gets a lot of traffic. Anyone know why I get an error message everytime I use the "Back" button when I am in this forum? Is there a setting I have out of whack on my computer? It never does it anywhere else, or on my wifes computer. It makes me sign back on to my browser evertime I want to back out of a thread. Thanks.
I am using Yahoo as my browser, if that helps.

It is the error box that asks you if you want to send a report. It states somehting tot he effect of "Your browser encountered a problem, and must be closed...."

That could be a coupla things. Either a DLL that runs the browser has been corrupted, or one of the plugins.
If you can reinstall the browser software do so and see if the error goes away. If not, reinstall all plugins.

Well, I'm not that great at computers, but I log into Yahoo. I'm sure you are right, but I wonder why it is only with the HD forums it does this.

Yahoo is just your homepage. You most likely are running IE. And it still points to a polluted browser DLL/plugin as I posted earlier. All it takes isthis website making a call to the problem area and you're down. Hence the need to reinstall the browser/plugins.

Which takes me back to the issue of not knowing about computers. Installing DLL/plugins? I might as well run my computer through the dishwasher. The resutls of me working on it would be about the same.

You may want to run Spybot, Search and Destroy. It looks for Spware. Google it, it's free.
Internet Exploder is a virus magnet, try running Firefox as your browser instead, way better browser, and far more secure.
Free also from here http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/

Are you using Internet Explorer 7? If so that is just a glitch with IE. Try double clicking the back arrow and it should work.
Also I am moving this to Forum Issues section. It may not get as much traffic but that is where the mods and computer guru’s go to check for people who are having issues. Devil’s Reject is a computer genius and I’m sure he can help you out. I’ve forwarded this link to him via PM also.
