Who says there's no such thing as a dumb question? I recently aquired a 1934 VLD. Good condition considering the age. I am fairly well versed in the knuckleheads and panheads but new to the VLs. How does the primary chain receive oil? I can find no evidence of breather release, tubes, channels, etc. yet the chain was in remarkably pristine condition.

This is a total-loss system and the release is below the chain and outside the cover.
