SERT or not?
Hi I have a 06 Heritage Classic and I am going to put Sampson Big gun III Rip Saws and a SE Stage One AC on. Problem is no one has the SERT.Do I have to go with the SERT or is there anything else compareable to it. I asked the dealer about the PC III and the said they would not recommend that because it could serge and would void my warrenty. I do not know how true that is I am just going on what they say. I dont want to void the warrenty.I looked on V&H Website and the had somthing called a fulepak is that the same as a Racr tuner or is the a PC, and would it work with the set up I want? Any advice would be great!!!

RE: SERT or not?
I know that there are several different camps on this, so what I'm about to say is based on my experience and what I've read.
I have a 2002 Road King Classic that has the screamin eagle race use only slip ons, and the screamin eagle air cleaner. The bike was given a stage I download at the timeto take care of any possible lean condition. The motorcycle has always run beautifully, no poping or pinging. A light tan color on the plugs. This spring I decided that I should check the cam chain tensioners because I had slightly over 28,000 miles on it. Off topic slightly, my outside shoe had hardly any wear on it at all. My inside tensioner was totally shot. Iknow that if Iwould have ridden it another 500 - 1000 miles the steel bracket for the shoe would have been rubbing the chain. Ok, back on topic. While I hadher opened up I changed out the inner cam bearings with the torrington B-148 and replaced the damaged stock cams with the screamin eagle 203 cams. So, I need something to take care of any possible lean conditions that could be causedby the addition of the cams. I gave serious consideration to the Race Tuner, and did a fair amount of research on it. I think that its a very sophisticated device, but actually over kill for what I wanted. I don't plan on putting a big bore kit in it. I don't plan on racing it. All I plan on doing is to continue to ride it. I bought a Techlusion DFO and installed it set it to the recommended settings given to me by Matt at Dobeckperformance, did a little tweaking on it, and my bike runs like a million dollars. No pinging or popping. Still a nice light tan on the plugs, bikes a lot snappier, why do I need a Sert or a Power Commander??
