Question on Big City Thunder baffles

Question on Big City Thunder baffles
So I've been toying around with the idea of ordering a set of Big City Thunders 2000 series thunder monster baffles. I have a set of cobra speedster duals on my 14 street glide right now. I'm not displeased with the way it sounds right now but feel like doing a little bit of experimenting. Ive heard alot of good things about BCT's baffles. That they are louder and deeper sounding, but not quite as annoying or rude as running straight pipes.
My questions are
1)Ive read that BCT reccomends the baffle to be installed at least 6 inches from the end of the exhaust. And that the "gunsight" in the baffle should be toward the rear. On my current exhaust the current baffle screw is about three inches from the back of the exhaust. I'd have to drill another hole at least 3 inches farther up to get to wear BCT recommends. Question is......what do I do about the original hole? Just leave it? If not, how do I go about sealing that?
2) I'm guessing you get the old baffle out by hooking onto it somehow and just yanking it out the pipe. But how in the world do you get the new baffle in and manipulate it?
Maybe this is all easier than I am making it out to be, but in seems like a total pita to me.

I left my old hole for my baffles open. I measured back 6 inches from the opening of the pipe and drilled a new hole for the mount screw. Pushing the baffle in was fairly easy, no issues for me lining up the mount hole to the baffle. I used a set of long needle nose pliers holding the "gunsite" of the new baffle and pushed it in place, using the needle nose to manipulate the baffle to line up the screw hole (Hope that makes sense.) As for removing my old baffles (I have V&H Big radius 2-2), the top baffle came out with little issue, the lower pipe on the other hand was a pain in the ***. I warmed the bike up to operating temp, pried the edge of the baffle up and clamped a pair of vice grips onto it. I used a slide hammer that I made screwed into the vice grip adjustment **** hole and hammered the baffle out. Took about 3 solid hits to come out.
