My '07 Bob has a rich smell to it after I shut it down, almost like the smell of racing fuel burning. I installed V&H Slip-ons, a Fuelpak & a K&N Filter...still get that rich burn when I turn it off. I'm not sure if it's a characteristic of the new 96 ci engine or what b/c it smells the same before & after my mods. Anyone else notice their 96 ci with this characteristic?

 

Any chance they are using alcohol in the fuel in your area? Is that the smell? A lot of areas do have that in fuel right now.

Just talked to the dealership, considering I have only 120 miles on the engine, I'm probably smelling solvents being burned. No big concern....I didn't smell this with my '04 Sporty 1200.

 

The transmission vent hose flavors the air around my '07.
