Default Yet another Road King exhaust Quesiton...

I've read hundreds of posts and just want to make sure I understand correctly.

I have an '04 Road King Classic that is EFI. I plan on putting SE Pro slip-ons (I believe part number 64900-99 is the ones I need, correct?). Due to finances, I plan on putting the pipes on first myself with no other changes. From what I can tell, this will be fine. I'll see no difference in performance but will get the Harley sound. In a few weeks, I will purchase the SE Air Cleaner and take it to the shop to have the fuel injection adjusted to take advantage of the new parts.

Just want to make sure I can put on the pipes initially with no issues?

Thanks for the info.

You should be fine as long as you don't change the breather. It will run a little better than the stock pipes.

Default RE: Yet another Road King exhaust Quesiton...

I just installed SE Pop Performance mufflers/end caps, part # 65115-98B, on my 2005 Road King EFI. My dealer gave me the choice of installing the SE Pro EFI Race Fueler, part #32136-05, at the same time. The dealer stated that almost none of his customers spend this extra $$. He also stated the the bike may run hotter and leaner with the pro pipes but not to worry. My bike runs perfect, without and backfiring, pinging, or sluggishness, however, it smells a bit hotter when I shutdown. Now, this may be the new pipes breaking in or maybe the hotter motor which they warned me about. I am still sitting on the fence about spending the extra moolaa for the race fueler. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Will Doyle
