Default Warranty implications?

All
First-time Harley owner, I am considering replacing the stock exhaust on my 2014 Breakout with V&H Big Radius 2 into 2 exhaust. Will this impact the warranty on the bike?

I didn't find this addressed in any FAQs or other posts.

Thanks in advance.

No. It will not affect your warranty.

Well...you're taking a CAT/baffle-restricted stock exhaust and replacing with less-restrictive system so...lean to leaner condition could impact bike's ops. This is a stretch, but "if" something happens to your motor "and" HD proves this exhaust swap was the causing factor...you'll have to pay massive legal fees just battling the case (mucho more than exhaust swap). If it was me (JMO here), I'd play it safe and add tuner to adjust your motor after exhaust swap. Best safe than sorry...in my book.

If he also changed the air intake, I would agree with you, but given that he has not, th exhaust change alone will NOT significantly change the amount of air the engine is getting, because the "plug" in the whole system is still going to be the air intake.

Once the air intake gets changed, then yes, for sure do the tune, via at least a Stage 1 canned download, or, if the OP does not plan to go any further with mods, do a dyno tune to get a truly accurate tune for his specific bike.

Greg, if you are a local, your National regulations may treat such things differently to the USA, so you should ask around amongst Belgian Harley and other brand owners. These chaps can answer for the USA, but not Belgium, any more than I can!
