Default big shots long...HELP!

OK...so what's the chance that V&H sent the wrong parts? i can not fit the new pipes into place. Can't fit pipes around the motor. Holding bracket doesn't seem to line up with anything. Do i have the wrong parts or am i doing something wrong?????

Go to their website and match up your bike with their product number, and make sure you have it right....there should not be a problem getting them around the engine at all.....I installed them on a night train I had a couple of years ago

They are easy to fit, but you do have to maneuver them a bit.
If you attached them to the frame already, then there is a problem. I have had them off/on a couple times with no issue at all.
Did you take off your floorboard and the passenger peg?

Yes...i have floor board and rear peg off. i can get the rear pipe onto the exhaust port, but the front doesn't seem to want to get around the engine. i spoke to V&H support yesterday, and he told me that it should be a snug fit to get the pipe around the fin. He ssaid i will have to give it a tug and work it around. Being sure to wrap up the new pipes so as not to scratch them, of course!

Going to try again tonight.

Yup... just when you think it's not going to fit... bam its in there.
Be careful to not scratch the fins on your motor either.

Mine were a tight fit too. Rhubarb's got it right, watch the engine fins. I ended up with a few scratches on mine.
