Default opinion on S&S 551 cam in 96" stock motor

Anyone with experience on this cam or knowledge on how well it works would be appreciated. Also I will add a 2 into 1 exhaust .

we use a lot of them, set the compression @ 9.8-1.you might want to look at the S&S.583,good low end TQ cams too, will carry alittle higher than the .551`s

Andrews 48 is a much better cam for a 96"

Look around for some dyno sheets and comments.

We have seen great results with the .583 in 98"ers set as little as 9.4 cr.
Strickly Wicked Cycles in the San Fran Bay area tuned one of our 98" combos to a whopping 120.0 ft/lbs with the use of that cam.
